Who we are
Scorpion Control Center, established in 2019 in Kakuma, aims to safeguard the refugee camp by educating residents, conducting research, and raising awareness about venomous animals to minimize attacks and discourage unnecessary killings.Our sensitisation campaign intend to raise awareness and provide tips for safety measures anywhere and at any time in order to reduce the frequencies of stings and bites.
Who We help
We research venomous species, run awareness campaigns, and exhibit specimens and image catalogs to reduce stings/bites and prevent unnecessary wildlife killings in the refugee camp.
Vision & Mission
Vision: To create and promote a safe environment among refugees and inculcate a conversationalist culture through education.
Mission: To protect both people and the above mentioned species through a sustained education program, including workshops and expositions.
