Save lives, save limbs campaign

We talk of stings and bites for six years now. Yes, it takes a minute to loose a life of a beloved child or valuable community member. It takes commitment, time, energy, humanity, love and resources to be able to produce the results expected. We really dream to reduce the incidents of stings and bites. We want to save lives and save limbs. After the loss of a 14 years old girl in Kakuma 4, we decided to get back on our awareness sessions in primary for the second time in 4 years. If a minute could cost the life of someone, how many lives and limbs do we save in 15 minutes talk to learners and teachers in primary schools? How many people do we reach to indirectly? Our work seems unnoticed, but its impact in the community is undeniable.

We go to tell them that the period of strong winds and rain is accompanied with high rate of encounters with venomous species, stings and bites. Let’s us all speak and act safety to share tips for safety and overall wellbeing of the community.
